Welcome to On the Trail with Noki and Me!

Noki, my border collie, and me love trailblazing both nature hikes and paved paths.  We do not like them just for the walks, but also for the beautiful and thought-provoking things we find on them, and we have seen some wondrous things.  Once, we saw a great blue heron, a long-beaked-long-legged aquatic bird, at the Oaklands Trail in Miami Whitewater Forest and a memorial to Daniel Beard, a founding father of the Boy Scouts of America, at the Miami Fort Trail At Shawnee Lookout Park.

This blog will be about these types of interesting things we see on the trails as well as some fun facts about the trails.  I will also alert you to any disrepair on the trails we walk and give you some helpful tips to get the most out of your walk.  For example, I have already posted some vocab for you to make this blog easier to read.
